Brittany E. Barbee joined the firm in 2026 as an associate attorney and primarily focuses her practice on family law matters, including divorce, child custody, and adoption proceedings. Her past practice area covers K-12 and higher education law, civil rights, and children’s rights.

Prior to joining the firm, Brittany served as the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs at the University of Mississippi School of Law and as a Law Fellow for the Children’s Rights practice group at the Southern Poverty Law Center in Montgomery, Alabama. In her capacity as Assistant Dean, she was instrumental in developing programs that enhanced student engagement and well-being, fostering a supportive environment for aspiring legal professionals. Brittany’s commitment to community service is further exemplified by her active participation in various legal associations and initiatives that promote access to justice for underserved populations.

Brittany is a past president of the Mississippi Bar Association’s Oxford Area Young Lawyers. She is also a graduate of the Leadership Mississippi Bar program and is a member of the Fellows of the Young Lawyers of the Mississippi Bar. In addition, Brittany is an adjunct professor at the University of Mississippi School of Law.

Brittany and her husband Taylor Weglicki live in Oxford with their two children. You can find her chasing after her children, attending Ole Miss football and women’s basketball games, or talking musical theater with anyone who will listen.
